Janelle Conn is an environmental and community project coordinator, urban food grower, and gardener with 15 years of experience working across grassroots, city, national, and European programmes. She specialises in participatory, community-led projects that prioritise social and ecological justice, focusing on collaborative, systems-based approaches to transforming food and environmental landscapes. Janelle has coordinated a network of over 2,000 community gardens and urban farms in London and consulted on grant programmes centred on community-led climate action, urban green infrastructure and rewilding. She holds an MSc in Sustainable Food and Natural Resources from the Centre for Alternative Technology (CAT) in Wales, where she explored how urban community food growing can drive transformative social change by creating alternative systems rooted in equity and ecological sustainability. Her passion lies in supporting regenerative projects that promote ecological balance and social justice through inclusive, equity-led participation.
