Based in San Vito dei Normanni, Apulia, XFarm Agricoltura Prossima is regenerating 50 hectares of land once owned by organised crime into a vibrant, sustainable agricultural and social enterprise. Founded by a group of young professionals from diverse backgrounds, the cooperative promotes a circular economy, biodiversity, and the production of high-quality food. Through farming, education, advocacy, and artistic practices, XFarm creates opportunities for youth, disabled people, migrants, and detainees, offering social-work placements, training, and community-based initiatives. Their work enhances food sustainability, environmental resilience, and collective wellbeing.
